What Golfers Can Learn From Rory Mcllroy

Well even though Rory Mcllroy was frequently being commented on by the media recently, not for his prowess but for his failings, he has stormed to a substantial victory to win the final major championship of the year the USPGA at Kiawah Island. Before I go on with the golf tip, I wanted to share a great quote from a football legend;
Coach Lombardi said -

I'm not looking for players with the will to win - every competitor has that - I'm looking for players with the will to do what it takes to "prepare to win"

And Rory is no different. He did not expect to win, or to play perfect golf, he just trusted that he had done all he can in preparation to win.
This course suited Rory with its links type setup and hazards and the wind the played havoc with many over the first couple of days. I am not going to waste your time by analyzing his swing, or the tournament. But a couple of stand out golf tips that you can takeaway to take youagel vietnam lua dao
Unicity vietnam la đor own golf game to the next level.
Rory Mcllroys' stronger physique.
Rory has spent many dedicated hours working on his golf conditioning to increase his strength and stamina. He has worked on this for a while now but I feel it paid dividends this week.
The strength obviously helped with those strong winds enabling to maintain a strong solid swing and being able to drive the ball the distances low and into wind requires golf strength throughout the core and entire body. Plus the stamina, endurance and the mental toughness required for the long final day of playing 27 holes.
Rory believed in his game.
As I mentioned earlier the media, critics and coaches have been analyzing his game recently and wondering why his performances were not what they were expecting. Even though they may be technically correct in saying his swing is to erratic, and relies too much on timing, so if his timing is off, he loses consistency, but he never listened, he knows how he can play.
When his timing is on, he is superior to most.
So what would we have him do? Become just another PGA robot that could not entertain a monkey?
I hope not.
He trusts himself, his coach, his swing and his ability to perform when it all comes together. He also knows perfection is unattainable in golf. So his expectations are not to always be firing on all cylinders and be playing the very highest golf every time.
Adam Scott bounced back.
I think it is important to mention Adam. OK so he may not have finished as strong as he wanted, but not a bad showing at all, if you take a look at the stats, it was his putting that separated him for the winner at kiawah in the end. His consistent golf game showed off tee to green, and his mind strength for golf and belief in his abilities were not hurt too badly after the fall at the Open championship.
"I think I heard Tiger say, 'You can have a good season, but to make a good season a great season, you need a major championship,'" said McIlroy, who returned to No. 1 in the world. "Now I've had two great seasons in a row no matter what happens from here in now. Hopefully, I can play some great golf from now until the end of the year and get myself ready for another great season next year, too."
So what is my point today?
It is Rory's ability to destroy fields, hit long drives, see his beautiful swing flow and hit his iron shots for birdies that entertain us and his preparation that allows for results like this.
So what if he cannot do it every week, at least he can do it!
And this is the golf tip I want you to take away;

Perfection Is Unattainable in Golf

Even the very best in the world who's job it is to play at the highest level, who's life is dedicated to playing, practicing and golf training even screw it up sometimes. And yes one of our missions at Athletic Golf Training is for you to consistently strive to be better. Your game, your mental strength, your golf fitness, but it is in the pursuit of this mythical golf perfection that we must learn lessons and enjoy the journey.
So why do you have the right to get frustrated or feel that you should do better every time you play?
As long as you follow Lombardie's advice of preparing to win is the key to not just successful golf but enjoyable golf.
Maybe you're a weekend warrior, maybe you are a high school golf team player, college golf or want to be professional. In fact several of our followers and athletes are professionals, and they still need to learn this valuable lesson.
(Took me a while to learn this golf tip too!)
