North Wales James Braid Golf Trail: Wrexham Golf Club

James Braid (1870-1950) was a renowned golf course architect from Scotland, who won the Open Championship five times. He is perhaps most famous for his work at Gleneagles and Carnoustie, but it is his work in the North Wales area that led to the creation of the North Wales James Braid Golf Trail, which consists of ten golf courses in the area that were designed by Braid.
Braid's courses typically share several common features; for example, the land's natural layout, features and obstacles are incorporated into the courses, with satisfying rewards for accurate play. Dog legs are another common feature; although the holes vary in character and length, the shape encourages playing for position.
The original course at Wrexham Golf Club's current lagel vietnam lua dao
Unicity vietnam la đoocation at Borras was designed by James Braid in 1923, with the official opening held in August 1924. Like other Braid courses, Wrexham is designed around the land's natural features. At Wrexham, the sand, gravel and boulder clay left by the last ice age provide good drainage and make the course playable all year round (which is a big bonus when you take into account that North Wales is kept lush and green by regular rainfall). The topography at Wrexham Golf Club is interesting and varied; no two holes are alike, and each presents its own challenge.
Many prestigious golfing events have been staged at Wrexham, including the British Girls Championship in 1980, the British Ladies Senior Championship in 1989, the Welsh Club Championship in 1991, the Ladies Home Internationals in 1995 and 2008, and the Ladies Welsh Team Championship in 1998. If women and girls seem to appear often in these events, it's worth noting that Wrexham Golf Club does much to encourage women to take more interest in the sport; for example, free taster sessions for junior girls are available on Saturday mornings, while on Sundays there are group sessions for ladies at just £5 for 90 minutes.
Notable holes
The 18th at Wrexham was described by Golf Local magazine's Paul Chapple (June 2012 edition) as "one of the region's best closing holes... At just over 400 yards long, a drive with a touch of draw can get in the fast lane and leave a short iron into the green, but anything else is likely to leave a long iron or even a fairway wood to get up in two."
Wrexham's signature hole is the seventh, a dog leg par four which goes down a hill; hit it too short and you're in the rough with a long second, but hit it too long and you've got a blind second to an elevated green.

Perfection Is Unattainable In Golf

Rory Mciilroy triumphed at the USPGA despite some negative comments from the media and coaches recently and how he has not been playing the best but his inner belief, dedication and inner trust paid off.
Rory has the time, the team, the energy the support, the finances to practice and play golf as often as he can.
How often do you feel during or after a round of golf that you could have done better. Plenty of times I bet.
Do you set very lofty goals for your golf game or scores?Do you expect so much of yourself every time you play? Are you analyzing the mistakesagel vietnam lua dao
Unicity vietnam la đo and flaws in your golf game?Do you feel you could do more work on your stamina and power with golf fitness training?Do you expect to hit most shots well or as consistent as you like them to be?
Of course you do even though perfection is unattainable in golf... You're a golfer after all!!
These are some of the traits that the best golfers have, it keeps them progressing, to keep learning to keep getting better. It is a foundation of many athletes. But it has it's flaws because always moving the goal posts hurts you long term.
But time for a reality check.
Unless you are a golfer who can practice more than 3 times a week and play at least 3-4 times plus consistently following a golf fitness program do keep your mind sharp, your endurance good and stay injury free you simply are not going to be as consistent as you want to be.
So don't be so hard on yourself. Please.
I was as a young golfer and even into my professional golf tour days.
This is a discussion I had the other day.
My colleague who was a national tennis player and is the director of an International tennis and golf schools plays semi-regular golf with occasional gaps of a few weeks without playing. And because he is a natural sportsman and a very keen golfer, always watching golf tip videos, learning from the pros and is fairly strong and healthy due to tennis and following a golf fitness program he gets SO frustrated that he doesn't smash it down the fairway and hit every green and always read the putts correctly.
But we discussed that he is too hard on himself to expect that.
Do you expect too much from yourself when you're playing or practicing golf?

Nike Golf Product Reviews

Nike is an athletic brand synonymous with sports like basketball, football and baseball. Nike is the company that brought the masses Air Jordan and the iconic silhouette of Michael Jordan dunking with his legs kicked out as he leapt from the free throw line. In recent years, however, Nike has also emerged as a credible purveyor of golf products, offering its customers everything from Tiger Woods apparel to clubs to golf balls, gloves, bags, footwear and more. You name it, Nike has begun to manufacturer it and send it out to pro shops in local courses across the country.
But for those of us that think of the traditional manufacturers when we think of golf - Ping, Titleist, Callaway - it might be a bit difficult to start thinking of thagel vietnam lua dao
Unicity vietnam la đoe Nike swoosh when you think about a nice afternoon on the course.
First of all, you'd be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't look to Nike first when you were picking out golf apparel, ranging from breathable shirts to stylish hats to some of the best footwear in golf today. Where Nike has really left its mark in golf is with drivers. Nike's far and away best and most well-known club is the driver, the splashiest and most attention grabbing of all the clubs. The VR Pro Driver is Nike's state-of-the-art club, which has risen considerably in popularity among golfers. According to Nike's Web site, the driver uses variable compression channel technology, a pear-shaped head, high workability, medium launch and low spin. But that's not to say Nike doesn't make other clubs. If you like the VR Pro Driver, then you should check out the VR Pro fairway woods, the VR and youth irons, as well as Nike's hybrid clubs, wedges and putters.
Nike also makes several different types of golf balls. The 20 XI golf ball series is popular among many players. These balls boast a lighter, low-density RZN core, which distributes weight to the perimeter and increases ball MOI. Many golfers say they notice the difference between these and other types of golf balls right away. Other popular types of golf balls are the Crush, Vapor and Power series. They all have different specs and requirements, and individual golfers should investigate, sample and determine what sort of ball is best for them.
Nike also brings its flare for sports gear to the golf bag, which has arguably more variations than any other piece of modern golf equipment. Nike makes bags of all shapes, sizes and customizations. They make bags for young golfers, female golfers and golfers who want to emblazon their bags with the names and logos of their colleges. Finally, much like bags, Nike offers many different variations of eyewear for modern golfers. Nike's golf sunglasses have all different colors of tinted lenses.

The Garmin G6 is the modern and new high-tech golf GPS released by Garmin and it is an absolute pleasure to have in a golf course. One of the core benefits with this device is that it's light so it is very easy to carry to anywhere easily. Garmin Approach G6 is a device which is really good to navigate through the holes and get the exact distances in a golf course, and that's what exactly the Approach G6 is designed for to provide more benefit to the golfers.
With this device, players do not need to purchase new batteries for each and every time as the batteries included can be recharged when necessary. Thus a golfer should have a solid game as this device is rechargeable and it also saves money in the long run. Golfers may complain why they do not like to buy golf GPS because they need to waste their money buying new batteries each time. As its features suggest, the Garmin Approach G6 is truly different in this case.
The amazing part with this device is that it fits nicely into pocket and can also be held into anyone's palm easily. There are some additional features that come with this new device from Garmin. Some of its features include the following: Green View, Digital Scorecard and Shot Measure. These features can help your game become much easier than normal. The touch screen resolution for G6 is also fantastic than other devices in the market. This feature enables players to still see the screen whether or not the sun is shining too brightly or not. The touch screen feature also help players to navigate this device easily than ever before. As a result, players may choose to use it whenever they feel to and while playing shots, they have this option now to calculate the distances necessary to improve their game.
In recent times, the Garmin Approach G6 has been listening to some good reviews which is not unusual at all. Garmin will never settle in one trend and will always strive to make existing products better. So players should look for this technology to do nothing but get better and I really hope this Garmin Approach G6 GPS device review was somehow helpful for the golfers who are using or will use it. The Garmin G6 is an addition to the GPS device world with a view to improve skills and to provide players good choice among other GPS devices in the market.

Posture and Power Angle - Why Is the Body's Symmetry Very Essential?

The symmetry of the body plays a significant role in decreasing your risk of injury and enhancing performance and power. When athletes setup so that the line (orientation) of their shoulders and hips are such that either or both are not aligned square (parallel) to the target line, the body is more prone to injury and performance and power are compromised. The symmetry of the body is particularly important for all athletes.
What is the power angle and how is it related to the body's balance?
The power angle refers to an individual angle of the body created in the athlete's setup, for example golfers and baseball players, to achieve maximum power in their swing. The poagel vietnam lua dao
Unicity vietnam la đower angle refers to a particular position of the spine and thigh (and numerous other angles of the body, club or bat) in the athlete's setup position. A research has determined that this angle occurs in multiple positions in the better athlete's setup position and it is maintained throughout their motion. When this angle is set and maintained, the athlete can generate the most power. Our power angle is different in each of us. Thus, everyone's set up is different.
To determine your power angle, all you have to do is stand tall with your feet together with your arms hanging freely at your sides. Now, stay relaxed and rotate your palms forward in the direction facing away from you. The angle of your forearm 90 degrees to the ground is your power angle.
It is easy to set and check your power angle. All you have to do is take a heavy weight and place it across your mid chest and spread your feet into a balanced stance width. Once the weight is positioned on your mid chest, assume a position of spine tilt and knee bend where you feel the least stress on your back. From this position, if you measure the angle of your spine and both thighs 90 degrees to the ground, it will be exactly the same as your forearm measurement 90 degrees to the ground. Not only that, you will have maximum rotational range of motion. Notice the symmetry of the angles of your spine and thighs as you look in a mirror. Great athletes have this symmetry in their address and motion. After you test your range of motion from this setup position, increase or decrease your spine tilt and you will notice that your range of motion diminishes.
For maximum range of motion, power and injury prevention, athletes must have their power angles set in their posture and they must have the appropriate grip size. As a matter of fact, these body angles of symmetry are a natural way to look for balance as well as to prepare for efficient motion and power. And to top it off, you can minimize the chance of injury.

Protecting Your Golf Clubs With Headcovers

If you ever thought about playing golf because you seem to have liked it when you played it the last time, then let me tell you that equipment is very important if you want to plagel vietnam lua dao
Unicity vietnam la đoay at a higher level than most people. You will also find that golfing equipment can be quite expensive and that is why you most of the times hear and see golfers taking very good care of their equipment. If you are not yet a golfer, yet want to become one, then in the following paragraphs you will learn more about headcovers for golf.
You will need to take great care of your golf club heads, more than you will ever take in regards to any other golfing accessory you have. Why, you may ask yourself? Well, it's because this is the only accessory that gets in direct contact with the ball and will spell a loss or a win. That is why you have maybe heard many golfers offering tips to one another of how to buy the best headcovers for golf and how to properly take care of them.
Yet it doesn't even matter how hard you will try to protect your equipment, because eventually rust is going to be a problem. However, you don't need to worry too much about it, because you can easily slow it down if you will purchase the right shield or headcovers for golf. The material used in manufacturing them is chrome plated carbon steel.
When you use your club constantly, you will expose it to friction, abrasion and moisture which eventually lead to a poor hit due to the appearance of rust.
Using headcovers for golf though you will be able to have the iron protected by keeping the area dry and thus delaying the formation of rust. There are some people who believe that these headcovers are all somewhat the same, yet that it's just a statement which shows they just don't understand golf and probably never played it. There are plenty of headcovers for golf types and below you will find some of them.
If you are a stylish player then I think you will want to get headcovers that could be a status symbol. A sophisticated look is easily available if you will go for the custom golf club heads. Maybe you are the funny type though and if that is the case, then I think you can choose headcovers for golf that have a cartoon character inscribed on them or a funny quote.
Remember, golf is not a sport in which you just need to hit some balls with a club, it's way more than that. It's an intellectual sport as many people like to call it because you need to think very well before you will make a shot. However, none of your most precise shots will be too effective unless the tools you use are all in top notch condition. Of all golfing gear the golf club heads are the most sensitive and that is why they should be properly protected with headcovers for golf.
Now that you know what to keep in mind when choosing them, hopefully you will buy some from http://www.acegolfing.co.uk that will help protect your golf clubs very well!
